PREREQUISITE: Enrollment is limited to those students who have successfully completed the CNC MACHINIST program or students who can demonstrate equivalent CNC programming skills.

LIMITED ENROLLMENT: This course is an advanced technology course and will have limited enrollment to increase student to teacher ratio as well as providing adequate access to manufacturing equipment.

Course Description: The Advanced Setup program has been developed to meet the requirements of  participating employers who employee advanced setup techniques. The course is an extension of the CNC Machinist / Programming course that will continue and expand programming skills. The focus of this program is hands on setup of complex CNC equipment. Students will participate in planning, execution, and evaluation of independent projects that incorporate accessories, programming, and setup techniques studied. THIS IS NOT a cursory presentation of elements. THIS IS an in-depth program that will weigh pro's & con's, practice & compare application effectiveness. Students will be expected to suggest, evaluate, and debate effectiveness of techniques.
